Sync the Event app with Google Calendar
In the Event app's calendar, press "Google Calendar" and then "Connect" to connect your own Google account. Each user connects, not the administrator. Choose "The period on screen" or "All" and press "Sync" to bring the Event app and your Google Calendar in line in both directions. Deletions are not propagated. Available on Standard and above.
Steps
Syncing with Google Calendar is available on the Standard plan or higher. On Lite, the dialog shows "Available on the Standard plan or higher", and "Open plans and pricing" lets you check.
1. Open "Google Calendar"
Open the Event app and choose "Calendar" in the list. Press "Google Calendar" (the outlined button) in the heading row to open the dialog. The status row at the top shows the current state (Not connected / Connected: email address).
2. Press "Connect" to connect your own Google account
Press "Connect" and the Google screen opens in a new window. Choose your account and press "Allow". The original screen says "Connected", and the status row changes to "Connected: email address". Each user connects; the administrator does not connect on their behalf.
3. Choose the range to sync
Choose "The period on screen" (the default) or "All". You choose the range each time. "The period on screen" is the month, week or day on screen. "All" covers Google from 1 year back to 2 years ahead, up to 2,000 events. When there are many, the status row says "Only some were synced because there are many".
4. Press "Sync"
Press "Sync" and the status row shows progress, such as "Processing item n". When it finishes, the result appears as "Added n and updated m in Google / added n and updated m in kintone / k unchanged", and the calendar reloads. Anything that could not be brought in is listed with its reason as "n more could not be brought in (reason)".
5. Press "Disconnect" to stop
Press "Disconnect" and press it again within 10 seconds (two presses). The permission on the Google side is also withdrawn. The contents of your Google Calendar and the records of the Event app are not deleted.

Frequently asked questions
Who connects?
Each user connects with their own Google account. The administrator does not connect for everyone. What is synced is the Event app records where the connecting person is a participant, and that person's own Google Calendar.
How is the range decided?
Each time you sync, you choose "The period on screen" or "All". The default is "The period on screen". "All" covers Google from 1 year back to 2 years ahead, up to 2,000 events.
What happens to deletions?
They are not propagated in either direction. A record you delete in the Event app stays in Google Calendar, and an event you delete in Google Calendar stays in the Event app. To remove it from Google Calendar as well, delete it in Google Calendar.
Are repeats synced?
Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly repeats are synced as repeats. A monthly repeat follows Google's rule, so it falls only in months that have that day (the 31st only in months with 31 days). For other Google conditions, such as every 2 weeks or a set number of times, the first occurrence is brought in as a single event, and the result says "n repeats were brought in as single events". A change made to "this occurrence only" in Google is not brought in.
What do I do after changing devices?
The connection is remembered on the device you use. On another device the dialog says "Not connected on this device. Please connect again", so press "Connect" again. Google remembers your permission, so you only confirm once.
Is the content of my Google Calendar stored by PRING?
No. At each sync it is processed between your browser and Google. The only thing PRING's servers keep is the encrypted credential needed to reconnect.
What permissions does PRING use?
Only reading and writing calendar events, and showing the connected email address. PRING does not create calendars or change sharing settings. Events created by the sync send no notification to participants.
Which plans can use it?
Standard and above. On Lite the button still opens, and the dialog says "Available on the Standard plan or higher".
