Connection tab: link kintone to your PRING contract
The Connection tab (接続設定) links this kintone to your PRING contract. You set it up once, at the start. With Connect with the sign-up token (default), paste the download token from the sign-up completion screen or email and press Connect: PRING gets the API token and saves it for you. If you were given an API token, choose Enter the API token directly and press Save.
Steps
1. Open the Connection tab
In kintone, open the app settings, Plugins, and press the settings (gear) icon on the PRING row. In the settings screen, press the Connection tab (接続設定). If you are not connected yet, you see the How to connect options and an input field.
2. Choose How to connect
Choose Connect with the sign-up token (default) or Enter the API token directly. Use the first if you have the download token from the sign-up completion screen or email. Use the second if PRING gave you the API token itself.
3. Connect with the sign-up token
Paste the download token into the Download token field and press Connect on the same row. The screen shows "Getting the API token…" and then "Connected.", and the API token is saved automatically. If you see "Enter the download token", the field is empty.
4. Enter the API token directly
Choose Enter the API token directly. An API token field appears. Paste the token you received from PRING and press Save. After saving, you return to the plugin list. If the field is empty you see "Enter the API token".
5. Check the connected state
Once connected, the tab shows a line such as "Connected (token ending ····abcd, connected on 2026/10/27)": the last 4 characters of the token and the date. The full token is never shown. To enter a different token, press Reconnect.
6. Press Update App in kintone
In the kintone app settings, press Update App so the connection settings reach the app. After that, the export buttons appear on the record screen.
What this screen does
The Connection tab links this kintone to your PRING contract. After you connect, every request to PRING (export, schedules, email and so on) carries the API token of this tenant (kintone domain). Without a token, the export buttons on the record screen do not work.
Two ways to connect
| How to connect | When to use it | What you enter | Button |
|---|---|---|---|
| Connect with the sign-up token (default) | Right after signing up at pring.tech | Download token | Connect |
| Enter the API token directly | PRING gave you the API token | API token | Save |
Cancel returns to the plugin list without saving.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the download token and the API token?
The download token is a one-time voucher shown on the sign-up completion screen and in the email. When you press Connect it is exchanged for the API token, and the plugin saves that. The API token is the key for this kintone that goes with every request PRING receives, such as exporting from a record.
Connecting with the download token failed.
The screen shows "Could not get the API token" with a reason. A download token works only once, and only when you paste it in the same kintone that you signed up with. Check that you are not on a different domain and that you have not already connected once. If it does not clear, use the contact form (https://pring.tech/en/contact) and include your kintone subdomain.
What happens if the token is wrong?
The export dialog shows "Check your API token". Enter the correct token again on the Connection tab and save. If the token is right but you see "Your contract could not be confirmed", the free trial has ended or the contract is not active. Check the Plans & pricing tab.
Can I use the same token for another kintone domain?
No. A token is issued per kintone domain (tenant) and is tied to that domain's contract only. Use the token from each domain's own sign-up. For other apps in the same domain, enter the same token on each app's settings screen.
I cannot find the PRING server URL field.
It is a hidden setting that is not shown in normal use. If it is empty, the standard server is used, so you do not need to touch it. Only PRING addresses are accepted.
