Plans and pricing: estimate and sign up

Created: Updated: Estimated time: 5 min

On the Plans & pricing tab, enter monthly pages, number of schedules and monthly or yearly payment. PRING shows each plan's monthly equivalent and expected overage and marks the cheapest. Press "Sign up for this plan" for card checkout. A running contract is changed through support; reseller contracts show the next renewal date instead. Check amounts on the tab or at pring.tech.

Steps

  1. 1. Open the Plans & pricing tab

In kintone, open the app settings → Plugins → the gear on the PRING row, then press the "Plans & pricing" tab. "Your current contract" at the top shows the plan name and this month's output ("n pages / m pages included"). During the free trial it also shows the days left and the end date.

  2. 2. Enter "Pages per month"

Enter how many pages you output in a month. If you already have output this month, a value projected to a full month is filled in, with the note "Estimated from N pages over D days this month". A PDF counts one page as one; Excel counts by the number of pages when printed.

  3. 3. Enter "Number of schedules"

If you use scheduled output, enter how many schedules you need. Leave 0 if you do not. When the number is above what the plan includes, extra schedules are added to the estimate in sets of 5.

  4. 4. Switch "Payment" to Monthly or Yearly

Under "Payment" choose "Monthly" or "Yearly". With Yearly, the yearly price divided by 12 is shown as the monthly equivalent. The cards recalculate as soon as you change a value.

  5. 5. Compare the plan cards

The Lite, Standard and Pro cards show the monthly equivalent (excl. tax), price per year, pages included, expected overage and schedules. The lowest-priced plan is marked "Lowest price". A plan that does not fit is dimmed with a reason such as "A plan for up to N pages per month".

  6. 6. Press "Sign up for this plan"

On the plan you want, press "Sign up for this plan". After "Opening the payment page…" you go to the card checkout page (Stripe Checkout) and enter card details there. You can sign up only for a kintone environment that started the free trial at pring.tech.

What this tab is for

The Plans & pricing tab estimates which plan is cheapest for how you use PRING, and lets you sign up from the same screen. Only app administrators can open the settings screen, so they do the estimate and the sign-up.

Trial notices

When 3 days or fewer of the free trial remain, the top of the settings screen shows “Your free trial has N days left” and a “Choose a plan” button that opens this tab. When the trial ends it changes to “The trial period has ended. Choose a plan to keep using PRING”. See Free trial.

While a contract is running

You can still check this month’s output, the pages included and the next renewal date at the top of the tab. What happens when you pass the included pages, and the limits, are in Usage limits.

Frequently asked questions

How are the monthly equivalent and expected overage calculated?

Pages above the included amount are counted as add-ons of 10,000 pages each; the number of add-ons is the expected overage. For monthly payment, the monthly equivalent is the monthly price plus overage plus extra schedules. For yearly payment, it is the yearly price plus a year of overage and extra schedules, divided by 12. The lowest-priced plan is the fitting plan with the smallest monthly equivalent. All amounts exclude tax; consumption tax is charged separately.

No plan fits my volume.

The tab says "For this volume, please contact us about the Enterprise plan". This happens when the included pages plus up to 5 add-ons a month are not enough. Use "Contact PRING support" in that message.

How do I change the plan of a running contract?

When a paid contract already exists, "Sign up for this plan" is not shown and the tab says "To change your plan, please contact PRING support". Use "Contact support" on the Help tab and choose the type "Billing".

Can I choose how to pay?

Online sign-up is paid by card through Stripe. Monthly or yearly is chosen under "Payment" in the estimate. Invoice payment (bank transfer) applies to contracts through a reseller, where the reseller is billed; it is not chosen on this tab.

What does the tab show for a reseller contract?

The estimate, plan cards and sign-up buttons are hidden. You see "This contract is through a reseller", your current contract, this month's output and "Next renewal" (date and days left). Payment, renewal and plan changes are handled by your reseller. If the date is unknown, the tab asks you to check with your reseller.

Are the amounts on screen the same as on the pricing page?

Yes. The tab is drawn from PRING's current price list, so this help does not list amounts. You can also see the pricing section of pring.tech before signing up.
