Usage limits: how pages are counted and when output stops
Pages are counted per calendar month in Japan time: PDF by page count, Excel by an estimate of printed pages. Pages above the included amount are added automatically in sets of 10,000, up to 5 times a month. At the cap, new exports stop and resume on the 1st. Bulk, list and scheduled output also have per-run record limits, and scheduled output has a daily limit per app.
How pages are counted
Pages are counted after an output succeeds, as follows.
| Output | Pages counted |
|---|---|
| The number of pages in the PDF | |
| Excel (xlsx) | An estimate of the printed pages (uses print area, paper size, orientation, margins, scaling and “fit to N × M pages”; an empty sheet is 0 and the total is at least 1) |
| Word template | The pages of the merged document as a PDF |
| Other formats | 1 per output file |
| Bulk output (ZIP) | The total of the files in the ZIP |
| Scheduled output | The files attached to each record |
| The attached files (no attachment is 0) | |
| Failed output | Not counted |
- The period is the calendar month in Japan time (JST). The count starts again from 0 on the 1st.
- The Excel number is an estimate. Manual page breaks, column widths and fonts can make it differ from a real print by 1 or 2 pages.
Pages included in each plan
Pages per month as of 2026-10-27. No amounts are listed here; check them on the Plans & pricing tab or the pricing section of pring.tech.
| Plan | Pages included / month | Records per run | Schedules included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | 20,000 | 100 | None (can be added) |
| Standard | 50,000 | 500 | 5 |
| Pro | 100,000 | 2,000 | 10 |
Enterprise is set per contract.
Add-ons and the monthly cap
- When this month’s pages pass the included amount, an add-on of 10,000 pages is added automatically.
- Each add-on gets its own invoice, settled immediately with the registered card.
- Add-ons are limited to 5 a month. For Lite, 20,000 + 50,000 = 70,000 pages is the most you can output that month.
- At the cap, new exports stop. They resume automatically on the 1st of the next month (Japan time).
The count is checked before an output starts, so an output that began before the cap finishes. The part beyond the cap is not charged.
Records per run
Bulk, list (aggregate) and scheduled output each have a limit on how many records one run can handle, set per plan (see the table above). If you go over, the run does not start (it never cuts off and outputs only some), and an error appears.
- List output: “Too many records in one run” with “You can aggregate up to N records at a time (this time: M). Narrow them down with the list filter.”
- Bulk output: a message that the bulk export failed, with the reason. Split how you select records.
- Scheduled output: a filter is required. A filter that matches more records than the limit does not run.
Daily limit for scheduled output
Scheduled output has a limit of 3,000 records per app per day (all plans). When a schedule is registered, PRING adds up “records per run limit × runs per day” for all schedules of that app. A combination over the limit cannot be registered, so split the times or the filters. If you use the kintone wide course, you can apply to raise the limit. Schedules are requested as described in Set up scheduled output.
What the administrator does
| Situation | Action |
|---|---|
| A user reports “The monthly output limit has been reached” | Check this month’s output and add-ons on the Plans & pricing tab. If you need more this month, ask support for a higher plan. Otherwise wait for the 1st |
| You want headroom before the cap | Enter the pages projected from this month’s usage on the Plans & pricing tab and see which plan fits (Plans and pricing) |
| “Too many records in one run” appears | Split the list filter or the record selection and export in several runs |
| Output is stopped by an unpaid add-on | Contact support with your kintone subdomain |

Frequently asked questions
How are pages counted?
A PDF counts its own pages. An Excel (xlsx) output is estimated from the print area, paper size, orientation, margins and scaling. A Word template counts the pages of the merged document as a PDF. Bulk output counts the files in the ZIP, scheduled output counts the files attached to records, and email counts the attached files (no attachment is 0). Failed outputs are not counted.
When does the count reset?
Pages are counted per calendar month in Japan time (JST) and start again from 0 on the 1st. A contract that starts mid-month does not change this.
Where can I see this month's pages?
On the Plans & pricing tab of the settings screen, "Your current contract" shows "Output this month" as "n pages / m pages included". When add-ons have been added it also shows "n add-ons this month".
Does output stop when I pass the included pages?
Not at once. Pages above the included amount are added automatically in sets of 10,000. Each add-on is invoiced and settled immediately with the registered card. After 5 add-ons in a month, new exports stop.
What do users see when the cap is reached?
The export dialog shows "The monthly output limit has been reached" and "Ask your administrator to check the plan." Exports that had already started finish. The administrator asks support for a higher plan, or waits for the 1st of next month.
What happens if an add-on is not paid?
While an add-on invoice is unpaid, new exports stop. The dialog is the same as at the cap. Output resumes once payment is confirmed. To check the payment status, contact support.
Do these limits apply to the free trial and reseller contracts?
Pages are counted, but no add-ons are charged. The free trial ends after 7 days. Reseller contracts are not stopped by the monthly cap or charged add-ons, and payment is handled by your reseller.
